Hello! Mr. Handsome Barista Part 2: Discovering the Nescafe Gold Barista machine

As promised, I would like to share my experience unboxing and setting up the Nescafe Gold Barista Machine. Now, before you scroll further let me warn you that I am clumsy and it is clearly shown in the videos. Try your best to ignore :p

Let us start with the Box...
Front box- Photo of Nescafe Gold barista Machine and a Nescafe Gold Blend pack

At the back of the box, there is a 3 steps guide on how to use the Barista machine. Since it only takes a touch of a button to get the machine to start brewing your coffee, there is not much to read here except that they recommend you to fill in the water tank (fills up to 1 litre of water) with fresh water and pour in your Nescafe Gold Blend coffee into the coffee chamber.

Back of box- 3 steps guide

You can make a minimum of 5 cafe style coffee at home using the Nescafe Gold Barista machine.
(Espresso, Lungo, Americano, Cappucino, Latte macchiato) *The latter 2 coffee style is a milk based coffee. Why minimum you ask? There are varieties of ways  for you to explore your coffee. For instance, just add chocolate shavings/powder into your coffee and Voila! a hot Mocha!

The Barista machine comes with a manual booklet, a measuring cup (for you to measure your milk when making Cappuccino/Latte), a drip tray and a funnel for you to fill in your coffee into the coffee chamber. The coffee chamber and water tank is attached to the machine.

Rinsing...

When using the machine for he first time, you are required to rinse the machine. The step-by-step guide is available in the manual booklet.
Step 1: Place a container (with a capacity of at least 1/4 Litre) under the  coffee outlet
Step 2: Fill in the water tank with approx 1 Litre water and re-attach the water tank to the machine
Step 3: With a dry hand, Plug in the power plug and switch Power on.
Step 4: Once the power button and Espresso  icon light is a steady green, touch the Espresso button.
Step 5: The rinsing should start and you shall wait until it stops.
Step 6: Remove water from your container.
Step 7: Once rinsing is done, all lights will be steady green. You can now start brewing!

Filling the coffee chamber...

To remove the coffee chamber, push a small button on the top cover and pull the box upwards (It is easily detached. No force is required). Remove cap and fill in Nescafe Gold Blend coffee (careful not to spill! use the funnel provided in the box *which I only discovered after making the video hahaha

My first LATTE!

Use the provided measuring cup to measure your milk (Of course, this is just the recommended amount. You may adjust according to your preference. You can also use condensed milk). The measuring cup comes with an icon of your coffee style for easy reference.

My first Latte Macchiato!

I have got to say that I am super impressed with the taste! The way that the coffee is brewed definitely changes the taste of the coffee. It gives a more intense aroma and the latte definitely tastes like a cafe made coffee! No kidding!

Best part of it all, the smell of a fresh brewed coffee elevates my senses. I feel like I am sitting in a cafe embracing the rich aroma of coffee. I am in a house-cafe heaven!

Now, let me go to get back to my coffee.

Hope the tips helps!

Love,
Gja
